Toyota's Tundra V-8s have a marketing name—"iForce"—and when it comes to this new 5.7 the word Force seems a little pallid. Or maybe the lower case "i" stands for "irresistible." Whatever, there's no question that this new eight will deliver major league grunt when you put the hammer down.
The new V-8 is paired with an equally all-new six-speed automatic transmission, a first for this class. And of course there's an all-wheel drive option, as well as an automatic limited-slip differential and Toyota's Vehicle Stability Control system, both standard features with Toyota Tundra parts.
