Description}: A Datsun 280Z fuel pressure regulator on a homemade bracket. To avoid using rubber hoses, I sawed the crimps off the tube ends and put on a set of compression fittings.

Crude air intake

Description}: Improvised plumbing for my Dart's turbo installation. I'm not sure how long the PVC elbows will last, but it only has to hold up until I get my intercooler installed. Then I'll have an exhaust shop bend some good steel tubes.

Description}: The E-type at the autocross had a tube frame, but the owner said that the engine was surprisingly close to stock. This may only mean that it still has the original block, crank, and cylinder head. But it's not anything like a Chevy V8 swap.

Description}: Another view of the Griggs / Kraus Camaro that dominated F/Stock. The only thing that could stop it was a mechanical failure on its last run, when something in the steering let go. Still, it seems to be holding together very well for a car with over 300,000 miles and countless races on it.

Olds Delta 88 at an Autocross

Description}: You can bring almost anything to an autocross, unless it looks like it will flip over or is otherwise unsafe. I've got to respect anyone so excited about racing that he would bring an automatic Delta 88 just to get a few runs around the course.

Description}: This is a Clifford Performance manifold for a Chrysler slant six. The injectors are from an Mk III Toyota Supra Turbo. The throttle body adapter was made by cutting part off the "elbow" on a Ford 4.6 SOHC and welding it to a flat plate.

Description}: This Spitfire has sat in my carport for about a year now while I've tried to make some repairs after an electrical fire that happened two days after I bought it. Lucas electronics have a bad reputation, but they don't hold a candle to electronics wired together by a previous owner who used lamp cords!
